Calendar/Scheduling

Previously I blogged about my experiences using the Google Calendar to use for client scheduling. The reason I used GC is that I could not find an online application that was specific to my needs and was also cost effective. There were a few that I found that were around $35 a month and were not customizable enough to meet my requirements.

Here is what I needed

• Provide a schedule for just myself (I am an independent consultant)
• Allow clients to login to book without adding a cost to the service
• Ability to add Links to my site, a personal logo and custom text fields for bookings
• Email responses to the clients booking as well as notifications to me
• An approval system for bookings

About a month ago, a colleague and I were searching for booking / appointment systems and we stumbled on SuperSaas.  Right out of the gate we found that this system had a free service so we could test it.  That was a huge win for us.  We were able to setup a specific configuration to meet most of our needs very quickly.

I did see one issue pretty quickly though.  There did not seem to be an approval system for the client requests.  That meant that even if I did not agree to a booking / appointment, it would still look as though the entry was valid.

Now here is where SuperSaas shines for me.  At about 4pm, I filled out the “Feedback Form” on their support page with my idea of adding the approval system.  I think it was around 9pm that I received a response from their support / developer stating that they were already working on that type of process and that I should expect it in about a week.  About 4 days later I got another email from that same person saying that the approval system was is place.  i tested it and with a little more help from support I got my system working perfectly.

A day later, I again asked for another enhancement.  It was for making the un-approved bookings look different from the approved ones.  One day later I got the following message.

“Hi Bill,

I did a quick implementation of your feature request. Pending appointments are now translucent.”

Now I am unsure if this is the best system out there but for the price and features that I need its great.  It’s a premium product with the level of support and feedback that I received from support at SuperSaas.

I have now added myself as an affiliate because I really do believe that they have the best system our there.
